That's incredible detective work. Well done!
Also noteworthy is that normally pictures contain info like the program it was edited in. Like the one from Angel contains: Adobe Photoshop Express Windows 10 (Windows)
The other ones do not have those.

I couldn't find them on Kickstarter (though I found SquareOff, and plenty of other chess projects)
Thank you Serpie, I added an update at the end of lichess.org/blog/XlE48hEAACIAQv2F/regium-extraordinary-claims-require-extraordinary-evidence. I can credit you there if you like.
No thanks, only hope they can prove it's real or if not we can protect people from losing any money in this.
@Serpie
I’m working on it! I wrote a lot of comments on their Facebook page with a link to the Lichess blog post. I wrote a review on their page too, saying the same thing. And I’m trying my best to get Google search to autocomplete “regium chess” with “scam” xD

After looking into it more deeply, it seems an absolute scam. The @Serpie work was stunning. I feel really grateful for the chess community. It's like you can't mess with them. There are people really smart searching out for everything. I hope that KickStarter to be a real downfall for Regium Chess.
Nice,

In this one: regiumchess.com/images/team/Steve-Williams.jpg
At the right there is some strange skin colour behind his glasses.
Also I think that both sides of the glasses have some differences

Pieces also move to beyond edges when captured
9*64*15 + 9*32*15 = `8640 + 4320

This fine website never ceases to amaze me, now doing pro sleuth work! Shame it has to come to this, the project seems awesome.
