I think it depends on you. I don't put much stock into blitz and lightning ratings. I only worry about standard or classical. But some people believe all of their ratings transfer across like clockwork. I like to think I play better over the board than I do online.
@MeWantCookieMobile: I share what you are saying. I have never played a lightning game as I don't click very quickly and I am not a GM. I'm not one for speculating on the motivations of others but I do like to use Blitz sometimes to get practice with opening setups. I use rapid as my measuring stick.
