What opening scares you the most?

@clousems the polish (b5-a6) is known and is strong. Maybe not so strong as the d4-e4 counterparts but it is less known and studied. I mess around with grob (1.g4) a bit and it can be deadly if the opponent play less precise moves. And it is a bad move, despite that. IMO the mainlines are better but well known so, tends to 0. this sidelines may surprise and may give real advantage in opening, but it is riskier.
@fonsecasf The St. George actually is only +0.5 according to stockfish-- which is similar to other, more played openings for black (I think the Sicilian is in the +0.3-0.5 range as well). It looks weird, because it doesn't really attack the center or develop pieces, but the ability to prevent Bb5 lines that arise in the Ruy and some variations of the Sicilian is very valuable.
Regarding the d4 idea, that is the typical response, but it's not always decisive. Take a look at these games:
(MVL loses to the St George with 2. d4)
(Ditto for Karpov)
(Kamsky obtains a slight edge over Polgar in this line, but blunders it on move 39)
(Topalov draws against Anand)
Wow this blew up! Thanks everyone for your replies!
The opening that scares me the most? The Italian, when I had black. That's the main reason I stopped playing double king pawn, I don't mind playing against Ruy Lopez, Scotch, Four knights or even Ponziani! but when I played against the Italian I always feel uncomfortable, it doesn't matter if I play Bc5 or Nf6
@Sefegiru thanks - .... interesting.........

other openings that scare me............ the ones that give up the center, and you don't know what's happening............ i guess the alekhine... KID maybe, although i play around with that one... you know, those hypermodern openings. you're also worried cause you figure the guy or gal is way into that style of play, and i'm not.... they should outlaw them.............

As White I prefer not to play down lines which require a lot of memorisation of concrete variations, and are hard to play well on general principles, so dislike playing against eg the Najdorf or Dragon.

As Black I find things like the London system rather boring to play against.
