Why Kd5 is the best move?

It's good move because Knight on d5 attacks Queen and Rook. If black takes Knight on d5 then Bxd5+ and Rook on f4 is hanging.
I didn't even use the correct notation for the knight. smh
@ewnllo

Because only Kd5 is a fork. Kc4 is only attacking ONE piece. The second motif (if black captures the knight) is called "discovered attack". You attack the king and a piece (rook) at the same time. Both have something to do with DOUBLE THREATS.

Don't worry about the notation. The knight is only written with N because K stands for the king.
