The evil eye

I swear to you this is absolutely true.Back in the sixties my dad and I were at a peach packing plant in Georgia.Im walking up a concrete ramp and there an old black woman sitting in a corner,I think to myself man,she is ugly,she looks at me,squints and next thing I know I'm blind.I come to in the sleeper of my dad's semi and he says what was wrong with you,you almost got run over by a forklift.For some reason I couldn't tell him what had happened but I remember it to this day.
What do you think?I mean I am not at all superstitious but this is a real thing that actually happened to me when I was a kid.

Sometimes when the mind gets feared by something, it can start fancying about anything. I had read it in a story.

does your dad also remember this? it could be some weird memory thing, like "clockman" you know

I've yet to see a plant where it is clinically clean. Most plants are dirty and dusty and in earlier times it was definitely worse than today. For me it is not unreasonable you got a particle into your eye, much more reasonable than assuming some black magic.

Add a bit of warped memory from events that happened 50 years ago and - presto! - you have a story from your youth that you can't explain.

Go back into the 60s' and check out yourself if you are not so sure
