titled players.

I will try to answer @Abby2014 's question on post #53:
In chess, and many other games, the goal is to win. So, if you win a lot, it's easy to get a title. The one who wins the most becomes the world champion. So, the more you win, the better title you get. If you win, you are good. If you lose you are bad. If you draw, there is no answer and it's necessary to play again until there is a winner. In world chess championship matches, the players draw most of the games. The time controls get faster and faster until there is a winner.
All titles are cash grab. They are completely unnecessary. The rating tells the entire story. That's why It's so important to Magnus Carlsen to be highest rated player in the world. So, it's better to focus on getting higher rating than more expensive titles. At some point, when rating is high enough, the titles are very easily given. Also titles are given for life, while rating is a measure of the current skill.

tl; dr: It depends on the rating. Titled players are easy to beat when they are low rated. Titled players are very difficult to beat if they are high rated.
