who wants to ban homework???

I do too, but the implications would be for students to do more work in the classroom. Imagine at 8 in the morning, every minute of class you're on task and you can barely keep your eyes open! Nahh Ill pass..
Maybe things will change. I can't speak for the future.

But let me tell you how it long has been, for those who did not inherit wealth.

If you will inherit wealth, my observations may not matter.

But for the rest of you: success comes from becoming genuinely useful.

How do you do that? By deciding to value becoming genuinely useful above remaining comfortable and vacuously entertained.

Once you decide to do that, you realize something you might not want to know: it takes real work to do that.

It's not enough to be born brilliant. But, on a more optimistic note, being born brilliant isn't necessary to achieve it.

All can do it. But it takes working hard. it takes staying focused. It takes desire. Sometimes, it means you come home from work and .. still work. For free. Simply to enjoy becoming unusually competent.

I'm not guessing.

School homework is practice. Can you work when others are playing and you don't feel like working? Can you?

If you can, you are somewhat unusual and likely headed for success. If you can't? Well, actually you probably can. It's a choice. That you can make.

For those who can work after hours in a lifelong ... notice: LIFELONG ... struggle to become genuinely useful, you have my respect. Please be kind to those who cannot, later on in life. Not everybody can do it, apparently. But if you can, enjoy the discomfort: it may mean that you are rising, before others even realize that you are.

Many people surprise themselves by becoming successful, once they learn to actually work for that, with faith, with dedication, with courage, overcoming weariness, and without excuses.

Not doing homework is nothing to brag about. If it's too hard, we can seek help after we genuinely try for more than a few moments. I hope nobody just surrenders. Nobody really has to surrender, I think.
#BANALLHOMEWORKSANDSCHOOLEXAMS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when I was teaching, I hated giving HW. Giving HW entails collecting and grading it. So I made a point of telling classes at the beginning of each semester what HW I was going to assign, and what proportion of their final grade would be the comprised of their HW assignments. It didn't take long before my reputation got around.
Sometimes it is the opposite. Many students only want homework; they don't want exams.
I agree with @Noflaps, studies are an opportunity for you to be educated and for each of you to contribute to the future world in your own way. The HW is a useful obligation; it allows you to cultivate the notion of responsibility, and it's knowledge that will be useful forever, in addition to what you will have learned thanks to these HW and the demanding teachers who created them.

Think of all the people who, even today, don't have access to education but who want to study, to know how to read and write, count, understand physics, geography, history... There were entire generations of people who were unable to study as they wished due to lack of funds or political or religious prohibitions.

So consider study as an opportunity. You are right to be critical, or to want to criticize a school system or the way in which this or that thing is taught in a particular place at a particular time.

But that should not be an excuse to refuse to study. You can, of course, but it's usually not beneficial. Most people who have done this regret not having had the opportunity to continue their studies.
The new Polish government banned it, and thank God for that. Bc its really annoying if you know everything and you know to you don't have to do extra studying, but you still have to do homework like everyone else.
Well I do like homework, especially maths, but I usually don't find the time to do them LOL.
Let's just say that explains why 94.5% is the lowest percentage I ever got ;-)
