Yes seceded? Good for them!
Prog rock needs a place where it can isolate itself from contemporary fad genre influences. No more grunge Rush or metal Goblins!

The Netherlands. It seems that every Dutch person I met is having a happy attitude towards life, so naturally I am biased.
Other than that, I love Spain (although Italy is a close second). Again, the people I've met there always were pretty welcoming.
And yes, just because I experienced something positive it doesn't mean that the country nor all people are that way. Okay?

Absolutely. And -- I know what you are talking about Spain; there is a great camraderie there it seems, and a lot of general warmth and good feeling all-in-all. I am a big fan of Spain and people from there; as well as Italy. I would tend to say Italy and Ireland and England are three of my favorite places there; Germany and so forth come in fairly close as well.
