Trump vs Pope

I realize that I've been complaining about Trump a lot recently in light of the whole Iran thing.

But I feel the need to bring up his recent papal rant from his social media account:

Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about “fear” of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart. I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country. And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History. Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise. He wasn’t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican. Unfortunately, Leo’s Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested. Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It’s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it’s hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J. TRUMP

What kind of arrogant asshole demands a certain kind of pope, even though he's not Catholic, simply because the current pope criticizes war? What kind of asshole thinks he's above criticism from the freakin' Pope? WTF is an "Obama sympathizer"?

The icing on the cake: he then posted a blasphemous AI slop image of himself as Jesus healing the sick.

• Called to be humble, isn't it a foundational virtue rooted in the gospel, reflecting Christ's character ?
• Is biblical humility recognizing God's authority ?
• Valuing others above oneself ?
• Overcoming selfish ambition ?

At this point, I’m waiting for the tweet about how the papal elections were rigged by the Lord’s Dominion, followed by a Trump $10T lawsuit against Jesus and Mohammed (with Shiva, Moses, and the Dalai Lama to be added in the future) for issuing biased teachings that cause emotional and reputational harm, followed by a 50% tariff on all gods and deities for “security reasons”.

When that gets shut down by the Supreme Court, he’ll take control of the USCCB, appoint Trump loyalists, canonize himself, and rename the National Cathedral the St Trump National Cathedral.

No doubt about it: the guy's a turd in a suit.

Remember how he "jokingly" proposed that he himself could become the next pope? Posting AI slop showing himself as pope.
That would have been his number one choice. He said that verbatim.

As clearly as he was joking about taking Canada and Greenland by force (and the AI slop he keeps posting about that), joking about Venezuela (and the gamified unclassified footage of missiles hitting small boats), joking about Iran and about deserving the Nobel Peace Price. He's always joking until he isn't. He is deliberately ambiguous.
It's all about him. If a US citizen is elected pope that must have been to assuage Trump. Clearly that can be the only possible reason, after all he is the literal centre of the universe.

Perhaps then he forgets to distract the public from the pre-emptive statement Melania Trump put out on April 9, 2026 denying that she knew Jeffrey Epstein.
