Well I had my operation yesterday. 9 hours on the table but it was a complete success. Sore today as you can imagine.,6 month recovery period. Best of all no colostomy bag or further operations
I just wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who offered me well wishes and kind words and to tell you how much I appreciate them.
You folks are the best
THANK YOU !!!
Dukedog, so pleased to receive your update. You're a good dude - we're with you!
Hope you saved whatever they took out,
@Dukedog , and can turn it into a bad-assed belt or vest! Or maybe some boots!
Nice to see you back in the saddle, cowboy.
6 months of recovery. That's a lot of idle time on your hands. Time for chess and for posting on Lichess.
Take it easy my friend. It's good to have you with us.
I kind of like that you're anti-political in most of your posts. I didn't even know you were having surgery. I was in the hospital too. I just had a minor arrhythmia of the heart but it all worked out, the only really scary part was going in the MRI machine which is actually incredibly scary for claustrophobic people haha. But they put me in a room right next to a guy who was going to have open heart surgery, he was around 70 years old. They said its like 50% chance he survives but they had the best doctor and he flew from India all the way to Canada for it. It was so shocking hearing about the procedure and the chances!! I silently wished him well but what a stark difference it was between him and me. I was released the next day, meanwhile he was still slated for the operation.
Good reminder to eat healthy :P. Anyway its good you're around. I guess you have another few decades maybe to see the world.
@Dukedog Happy to read it went well. I think you're receiving in return the kindness you're giving to others.
@kyanite111 Happy to read everything is fine!
Wow, 6 months of doing nothing but Chess.
I almost envy you.
Im glad everything went perfect. Hope you recover as soon as possible.
Awesome to hear my friend. Now get to healing up. You can do it.
Congrats on a successful surgery.
Best wishes for a full recovery.
So glad the surgery went well,
@Dukedog! Thanks for letting us know. Get lots of rest and we'll see you soon 'round the Forum.
