Thibault for President!

I'm getting sick of the political debate going on in off-topic forums. Often, there anger and lashing out and/or roasting. At least one person gets reported at the end (eg. "Friendly USA Politics Thread" from a few months ago was a hot mess). Nobody seems to agree on a thing. So why don't we all just vote for someone that we all don't hate and/or are angry with? At this point, we have to choose between Kanye West and thibault. And I'd say thibault is better because he has already led something before (specifically, lichess).

So everyone, thibault for president

Sponsored by Lichess Peace Keeping Corps (lol jk, i'm just trying to show that often, the constructive discussion in forums goes to disaster and we shouldn't discuss political stuff, especially highly inflammatory stuff like presidential elections)
I hope thibault isn't getting diabetes from this post, im sure getting brain cancer thinking about it.
@Ihavenothing I'm trying to say that I'm sick of the political forums that go to nowhere, in fact, all the forums that don't have constructive discussion and instead have a huge mess of stuff going on... Entirely different purpose.
@MrBongcloud just kidding, its not like i know, maybe he is that super cool persona like in the movie network. Where the moderator said ' i think i have seen god' and the businesman ' you could be right about that'
If you are actually serious, thibault was born in France, and is accordingly not eligible to run for presidency in the United States.
Ah, yes. A "benevolent dictator of lichess.org, a hippie communist chess server for drug fueled atheists", is a great choice for President of the anti-Hippie, anti-Commie, anti-Dictatorial United States.
Viva La France! Thankyou for that great statue and Bic lighters :]
Sadly, I feel like I never encounter constructive political discourse these days, no matter the venue or forum. And it doesn't seem like politicians themselves ever have constructive political discourse. Which isn't to say we should never discuss important issues, but just to say I see your point.
And if we all could work together to make discussions more constructive, we would be worlds away. I'm just saying thibault because he's someone that pretty much all of us like as a leader of lichess. I'm also trying to say: if this is not possible, curb all poitical discussions or remove them from lichess. We all are sick of it so either we work together to fix problems without fighting like madmen in political discussions or we have an entirely non-political forum.
