Seeing whom another player follows?

On my starting page I can see whom another player follows...this guy also follows me. Why do I have to see the activities of somebody else?
Please enlighten me! Thx

This is the sense of following! If you follow somebody normally you want to see what he's doing.

But it would be a cool feature if lichess could make it so that you can put on and off the activitees of each of your followers.

But I do not want to follow thos guy...he follows me

but then you wont see his activities

only that he follows you

and you dont need to follow him back

@Sunnyato Not sure if I understand #1 correctly, but you can turn off followers in your privacy settings.

lichess.org/account/preferences/privacy

(Not sure if this turns off everyone, or just people whom you don't follow yourself?)
