I believe personally that it comes down to interest. More men are interested so then statistically the probablitiy for men to perform better than women at a non physical sport must be based on interest. But if you look at women who are interested there are many GM's with high ratings. Judit polgar I believe defeated many of the best male players of her generation. That would be like saying men are not good shoppers. Compared to women who on average enjoy shopping, they will spend time picking out the best deals, whereas men walk in and grab the first thing they see and leave as quickly as possible. But Im sure there are some men out there who are just as devoted shoppers as the ladies.
