Pluto?

The International Astronomical Union (IAU) downgraded the status of Pluto to that of a dwarf planet because it did not meet the three criteria the IAU uses to define a full-sized planet. Essentially Pluto meets all the criteria except one—it “has not cleared its neighboring region of other objects.

Apparently demoted because it has not cleared its orbit of other material.there is a attempt being made to restore its status.

Then saturn would not be a planet as well... lol
A planet, star, asteroid, is not a thing, are just concepts so you can classify stuff.
It is still there you know. Changing the tag is not a promotion or a demotion, just a more accurate description of the body.
Who cares about the tag?
If you're going to call Pluto a planet, then you'll have to call all the other planet-sized things out there planets--Eris, for example.
I'd keep it simple,if it's big enough to be round it's a planet.
The reason why some want Pluto to be a planet is that it's the only 'planet' that has been discovered by Americans. I find it a bit childish honestly.

That's the point. It's stupid because then none of the planets would classify as planets.
