Sometimes I walk into a place that has one or more of these things turned on and I've noticed that watching them from a normallish closish distance makes my eyes feel like I've just dropped them into a meatgrinder, the image being so hysterically artificially sharpened and enhanced like a comicbook on drugs that it actually physically hurts to look at it.
