What are all these komoki jokes going on right now? Can somebody please explain?

Basically, I made a typo on an Antarctica team message. And a meme started out of it. And I decided to go with it. And now komoki has 70+ free followers and some are hoping that komoki gets more followers than komokid at some point. (Because I said komoki instead of komokid).

#5 @A_0123456 I once played a golf video game in 1991 or thereabouts where we had to all pick a player name. Feeling rather festive, I picked SMEGMAKID as a name and entered it. But the max length of the names was 8 letters, so I ended up being SMEGMAKI.
