for every positive there is a negative fc in the uk , so sadly yes by being bloody brilliant Yorkshiremen inadvertantly gave rise to that apathetic wussy lot called southern jessies , this wasnt intentional but youve got to maintain the cosmic balance

Ahh yes, the token "Wiki isn't a real source" guy -
It's going to be a pretty accurate source of information for most things - certain topics not so much - but it should be obvious when you view the article if it was written and edited by someone/people qualified to do so or not. Overall it's been noted wiki is about 80% accurate across the board - but up to 99.7% accurate on more cut and dry scientific matters - such as pharmacology.
While this is lower than something like Britannica's 95% accuracy - the total volume of Brittanica is 32 books... Wiki's is 1000-1200 similar sized books. If you don't view that as a serious source of info - well idk m8! Maybe you don't know how to follow sources.

wiki is just an index , it s best educational value lies in the links it lists after every subject this can lead to further links and give a very broad perspective on a subject ,

@chummer Why did you ping me? I have the right to dislike posts that I don't like. I don't want to get into an argument, I avoid this kinds of discussions but don't I have the right to react and why should I explain? I am already at the verge of getting chatbanned , so I am avoiding this kinds of discussions and in the future please don't ping me for these reasons. I don't know why people asks why I disliked their post, they never ask when I like their posts. Anyway I don't want to open my mouth on this topic and I have right to react to anyone's post. I will keep my mouth closed in this topic. Thank you!

#10 not going to fall into a fight again.
You know, people have a tendancy to always insult or atleast try to Indians. They think we are brwon and we cant develop in Science?

#45: One of the things I hate the most about the world today is that people have a tendency to use unverified strawman ad hominems (such as racism accusations) as a way to get what they want, with no thought as to how it will affect others.
At no point in that post did anyone insult Indians. At no point did anyone claim that India couldn't develop in science.
You are devaluing and disrespecting your race, your ethnicity, and your heritage when you use it as a cheap rhetorical ploy.

@agnivo2008
I thought you might have proof that Bose was vital to wifi, otherwise it seems racist or nationalist to downvote a post pointing out the OP's source didn't support his assertion that an Indian is the reason wifi exists.
Either way, you don't have to justify yourself but it's easy to infer your character from your response.

@AnonymousChessKing
Ascribing credit to an Indian when it's not due seems like the worse crime. Like I have repeatedly said, OP's own link belies his claim.

@DrZwischenzug yes racism, including against Indians, do exist, and that's a terrible thing.
And yes, Indians can be brilliant, no one is denying that here. Bose is an example, others include Ramanujan, Chandrasekhar, Vishy Anand and Akshay Venkatesh (not Indian but born in India from an Indian family) for instance.
However this thread is not about that. This thread is about someone claiming that all the merit of wifi technology comes to an Indian scientist just because he's Indian. Apart from being a nationalistic twist, this is a clear anachronism, and this is ignoring that technology is not developped by a single person or using a single idea. Plus as chummer pointed out, the article linked by the OP doesn't even support his claim.
Even calling the thread "Jagadish Chandra Bose, a reason why wifi exists" would have been preferable.

Even calling the thread "Jagadish Chandra Bose, *a* reason why wifi exists" would have been preferable.
