Israil VS Palastain

#19
Israel has conquered land from Egypt, Jordan, Syria in several wars. Israel has given back the Sinai to Egypt in exchange for a peace treaty. Israel constantly steals land from the Palestinians with illegal settlements.
Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Smotrich have repeatedly expressed their willingness to occupy all land and evict the Palestinians.

Crazy when they tried to overthrow the Jordanian monarchy when they were allowed refuge in that country & also contributing to the start of the Lebanese civil war. Explains why their neighbors aren't so ready to accept them anymore.

Guys I heard there is a ceasefire in the Middle East. Is it true?

Any country that accepts large numbers of refugees faces trouble. They need space, food, work...
Lebanon has more Palestinian refugees than its own population.
For example some 10 million refugees in India caused the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971 that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Yes, there is a ceasefire, but will it last and will it lead to peace?
Ehud Olmert offered a Two State Solution to Abu Abbas in 2009, but he refused.
Lasting peace might only be possible after Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben-Gvir and Abu Abbas are replaced.

Jordan is Palestine though, one would think that all of the Arab states that were willing to send hundreds of thousands to war on their behalf would be willing to band together to support them in essentially what is east palestine.

Not saying what Israel is doing is right, but sometimes a situation is too costly in human lives, in perpetuation of violence - that it's better to try a different tactic.

"Jordan is Palestine" * Israel took a large part of Jordan in the war.
"Arab states that were willing to send hundreds of thousands to war"

  • Mainly Egypt and Syria. Egypt has agreed to a peace treaty and got the Sinai back and control over the Suez Canal.
"east palestine" * So you want to relocate 7 million Palestinians from territory occupied by Israel to Jordan?

Yet everyone seems ti demand Israel accept all the Egyptian and Jordan refugees created from the war in which multiple countries tried to annihilate Israel in '67.

Jews and Palestinians (then called Philistines) lived together in the area for thousands of years, since biblical times.
There are 7 million Jews and 7 million Palestinians.
They can live in two states like Ehud Olmert proposed in 2009.

    No

I want those countries to accept refugees who do want to leave, and for them to be supported by the larger arab world. Right now, either they refuse through Israeli pressure, selfishness, or a desire to have Palestinians stay in west bank/gaza to uphold their land claim, even if means they may die.

Right now these countries deny starving women and children, and one must wonder why. It often seems they're worried about 'permanent displacement' of Palestinians damaging chances for statehood - but what is more important, where you live, a sliver of land - or hundreds of thousands of lives? I believe people should be able to make that choice themselves, not be pawns of larger political movements.

Granted the best solution would be for Israel to back off - but we must pragmatically recognize that is not happening right now and hasn't - and act to save lives.
