If you could eliminate a crime absolutely once and forever...

If you could eliminate a singular crime absolutely once and forever, but first you had to commit that same crime yourself, which crime would you choose?

I heard this question on a podcast recently, and one of the people had a great answer, but I won't spoil it.

Edit: Just to make things clearer. If you could stop a certain type of crime from happening ever again...
In the sense that if I were to commit a murder no one would ever murder anyone again?

Correct. Although, it would be based on law. So for example if you committed premeditated murder, then premeditated murder would never occur again.

Or if you drive above the speed limit, then nobody would speed anymore.
I would purposefully spread misinformation so that politicians are no longer able to call each other horrible names and spread misinformation about each other.
So.. if I were to kill someone with a spoon, would that mean that no one would ever kill someone or would that mean that no one would ever kill someone with a spoon or would that mean that no one, who kills someone with a spoon would be convicted?

Unfortunately, that's not really a crime.
Well, anyways, interesting thought. If it is indeed just the crime (not the tools used nor the people affected), it would only an ethical struggle for me, however, in murdering a murderer, wouldn't I be able to stop any future murdering? If that is the case... then maybe I would go for it. Reminds me a lot of the problem, where you must kill one human to save humanity...
Would we be prosecuted for this crime after we committed it?
