I was 9 years old as I asked myself , 'what are you a girl or a boy?'.

I remember I was watching other schoolmates while they were playing, as I asked myself this question. Until now I don't regret deciding to be a boy.
You don't really "decide" to be a boy or a girl, they are predetermined based on your chromosomes.
Personally I don't agree with the whole concept of gender identity however i guess you do have a right to live your life in a manner which makes you happy so all I can say is good luck with that.
Gender is something else @CreativeThinking
I'm talking about my sexuality. And my sexuality was a decision that I made. I grew up without a mother and my aunt who raised me she let my hair grow long. There were times I played with her stuff make ups, wigs and dresses.
Before my birth, many of my family members wished that the second child of my parents, that is me, should be a boy as the first child of my parents is my sister. But then there was a plot twist later on. Everyone was happy after my birth except my grandma. She sometimes hesitate and say to me that, "I wished to have a grandson instead of a granddaughter, but it's fine".

I wonder how many people wanted that "I should be a boy" oof. I just hate discrimination. If I'd get a chance to set new rules in this world, I would just make this world so equal that there would be no chance for discriminating and for criticizing or demoralising someone (directly/indirectly) based on their gender.
@FutureAstronomer Your story reminds me of my friend.
As I was in the secondary school, I had a good friend called Pepe, he always used to cry and he was often very sad. He told me that he's always fighting with his father and it was always because of his sexuality. He told me as he was born his parents deeply wished that he was a girl, but then what came out was a boy. So he was not welcomed and felt in his childhood unloved by his parents, especially by his father. As time goes by, he grew up and he was 15. We were both 15 that time and he's homosexual. Now his father got another problem because he can never understand why his son is a gay. So he was hitting him and always the fighting story. But I find Pepe my good old friend very brave. He remained true to himself. I believe someday his parents accepted him for all that he is.

It's pretty sad that I have to see your transphobic comments in the forums all the time, and it's equally sad that lichess doesn't do anything about them.
