How much is the longest you have held your breath?

The official world record for static apnea was 11'45" by Stéphane Mifsud in June 2009.

The German Tom Sietas hold 10'12" 6 mouths later.

Now it's Branko Petrović with 11'54".
Natalia Molchanova has the female record with 9'02".

Of course, those are official records.
I will not talk about persons holding even more than the world record, because you won't believe.
Those persons, some that are know, are just not interested in being famous. But I can assure you that Petrović and his 11'54" is like a 3 mouths baby fighting Mike Tyson in comparaison.

The problem is not the oxygen carence : you will always have enough oxygen. So no worries for your brain, if you're still conscious.
It's the increase of carbon dioxyde that will lead you to a syncope.

When I was a kid my cousin broke his nose after he fell down, trying to hold his breath as long as possible.
