Okay, okay, first up, I know this is chess related. I just thought it was too trivial and/or unimportant to be in the chess section. Most things there are people being confused because of rules they didn't learn about (you know exactly what I'm talking about).
Lichess's chat highlights anything from 1.e4 to 2....e5 (or maybe even more) blue. If you click on it and that move has been made in the game or study, it brings you to that move.
That made me wonder - how do most people write their moves?
WHITE MOVES:
A) [#].[move] - for example, 1.e4
B) [#]. [move] - for example, 1. e4
C) [#] [move] - for example, 1 e4
D) other, in which case please write it down :)
BLACK MOVES:
A) [#]. ... [move] - for example, 2. ... c5
B) [#] ... [move] - for example, 2 ... c5
C) [#]....[move] - for example, 2....c5
D) [#].... [move] - for example, 2.... c5
E) [#] ....[move] - for example, 2 ....c5
F) [#] ...[move] - for example, 2 ...c5
G) [#]... [move] - for example, 2... c5
H) [#]...[move] - for example, 2...c5
H) other, in which case please write it down :)
Apologies for any grammar or spelling mistakes.
