Great movies watched long after release

Just saw the Silence of the Lambs.

Wow. What a movie. The story, the screenplay, the casting, the movie, the photography, the acting. Could not find a flaw, got hooked from the opening credits.

I now understand why it has been so extensively quoted in popular culture. There is something quite unique in the energy of the Foster / Hopkins duo. Their characters, despite being antagonists on symmetric opposites, manage to develop a strong and credible relationship.

A truly extraordinary movie.

Most of the world saw Shawshank Redemption, long after its release, still it is one of the highest rated movies in the world.
