Better not catch you playing any baroque or romantic music!

it's because I don't like being asked to play pop music.

but I assure you, I am a neo-classical composer. and I play everything from baroque to contemporary, I also do a little harpsichord

And I'm not Chop-out ;)

execute order 66! you have just used a powerful excorsism!

one day I had to play a concert for people who didn't know much about classical music. I was told : no tailcoat, no tie, don't come dressed too "classically".

I came and played piano in bombers, light green pants, black boots without laces. I had success
Granted I'll never dress up to expectations for my music, especially more modern russian composers do not evoke tidiness, I see no reason why one's dress should evoke feelings of order to play quite chaotic music
As I always say: You haven't truly lived until you've performed Tocatta in Nada
On a somewhat less nudist note, I used to perform with my left sleeve rolled up. It started because it made it easier to play Henry Cowell, but then it just became a thing I did.
EDIT: I originally posted Monty Python’s nude organist. No idea why it’s age restricted, as you can’t actually see any naughty bits. But since it is, here’s something completely different:

As you can see, sportswear is allowed at concerts, provided you’re the referee or a cheerleader.
