Death penalty - Our western dubbel standard

@beat_me_fast Erdogan is like a little kid that refuses to go to the toilet just to take giant pee in your brand new car 10 minutes later. However, the EU never considered turkey joining. Geopolitical implications would be devastating. Actually having to deal with the middle east, with Syria as a neighbour. I don't think people are ready for that just yet.
ZARA 90

You are complicating the issue to much. I simply asked if we have dubble standards when it comes to the death penalty. From a moral point of view death penalty is not acceptable for any crime. (EU policy!) Why are we "closing doors" for turkish EU- membership if introduced again when we have accepted death penalty so many years in the USA. ( Often referred to as the "guardians of humanity"?)
@stonecollector You are confusing some generally applied principle by the EU with the moral people feel and live. There is no WE in this uniun at least not yet. The key factor is stability and the DP in turkey would be used against the opposition. It is pointless to compare the US with Turkey. And the question why do we accept it is no question. There is nothing to accept it does not have to concern the EU.
Evan Sewell Wallace, best known by his stage name E-Dubble (often stylized e-dubble, or shortened to e-dub) (November 1, 1982 – February 13, 2017) was an American rapper from Philadelphia. He was best known for his Freestyle Friday series in which he released a new song each Friday throughout all of 2010, with one final release in 2012. He was the co-founder of Black Paisley Records.[1][not specific enough to verify] He died at the age of 34 on February 13, 2017 due to an infection in his body
Just when I started getting bored this forem came along. And restored my faith(?) in humanity.
1. America has never been in The EU never applied (the EU would not take USA even if we tried)
2. Research serial killers (youtube) why should someone that killed 80-200 people not get what he/she gave.
3. The victims in Turkey would include political protesters
