Creation vs. Atheism

If i may ask, can anyone explain why or how we have a conscience? Animals don't, and we came right up from primates.

@msakka scientific theory does not deny a Cthulhu existence too. It simply doesn't care and there is no reason why it should care. You start from the facts, for example fact that dolphins and octopuses may have same "magic" conciseness on them we humans have.
And religion always said human is unique, isn't this simply selfish and arrogant?

Science task in not to disprove any mess any human can imagine. It's task to create true picture of world with instruments theoretically available to any person.

@lazlotothIII The Bible has prophesied about great kingdoms many many years before they came to rule. But I have not studied enough to argue about teh wrong religions.

@BlackBishop9319 Atheism is not a religion, because each person born as atheist, without any idea of Islam or Christianity. Atheism is natural way humans start with. Big band theory is very close to word "believe" since most of people including me have nor idea nor clever enough mind for what genius scientist did when invented it.

@hal9k yes like i said it is not a question of science, it's just conclusions that we come to after learning about the universe.. some would still say there is a god and some won't, you can't prove or disprove that with science..we still all have the questions of what is all this and where we come from. And also the idea of god is not limited to religion.. i personally don't follow any religion and i don't believe in defined idea of god..

@hal9k Incorrect, it might not mean too much to an Atheist but all men were made knowing that a God exists. You can look around outside at the creations that would take a creater to make, not a random generator.

@hal9k the way in which a person comes to know a belief does not invalidate it ... you know plants by their flowers..buds..fruits and not by their roots.

Ok, some people are confusing me. Could each person who contributes to this forum please state their religion/Atheist?

as far as @BlackBishop9319 goes I applaud your very thorough faith and I imagine that it gives you a sense of meaning that is very difficult to find..however I can say that religion is far more abstract than your anthropomorphized version of it seems to hint...I heard a saying once like," god created man in his image, and man handsomely returned the favor".

I am an atheist, therefore I obviously don't believe the biblical history of Creation but of course everybody can believe what they want since no theory is 100% sure. I live in Germany and basically all Christians I know believe in the Big Bang Theory and Darwin's evolution theory. I find it interesting how this is not the case in America.
