Wrong and obnixious : Lichess's message "Warning : letting the time fly in lost position..."

Wrong and obnixious : Lichess's message according to which letting the time fly in lost position can lead to retaliation, etc...
So I got your very unpleasant message in a +3 position which I lost on time. Actually, I saw a very tense sacrifice I did not manage to evaluate (see my today's game about 10 minuts ago). So please make Lichess messages more accurate.

PS : this message is meant to Lichess org.

People should be free to spend their time on the clock as they see fit.

But at some point you have to warn sitters.

It is worse to resign when there is an escape, than to look in vain for an escape that is not there.

The engine says he has an advantage of -3.4 as black, but he received the warning

I would suggest prioritizing this problem and having a developer investigate it.
The warning tells something about a lost position. We have two examples where an equal and a winning position
got the warning.

Engine evaluation is currently irrelevant for recieving a warning, only the time remaining or time it took to make the last move.

I would suggest prioritizing this problem and having a developer investigate it.

You can see in this forum that its already being checked out, but this is not a critical bug.

"time remaining or time it took to make the last move"

  • That makes no sense, of course a player can use his available clock time to look for a way out.

"this is not a critical bug"

  • It is no bug, it is undesirable messing with the players and their use of their time on their clock.

This is the point. Solution: Implement Engine evaluation or change the message text.

No offend to you,
perhaps you missed this thread where, under point 4, I mentioned the same warning for an equivalent position, and later, under point 19, I thanked the developers for reporting a problem on GitHub.

Whether it's critical or not is a decision for the developers. My suggestion was to prioritize the problem.
