Why politics on Lichess?

Lichess was supposed to be ads-free? What happened?
@js86 "Chill, man."

Said the person so threatened by a small link buried down at the bottom of the page that they started this thread.

"I'm not at all committed to ignoring climate change, but I'm perfectly entitled to ignore related activism"

But you're not ignoring it. That's the point. Instead, you feel threatened.

Your whining about this link is what brought it to my attention, by the way.
I agree with js86 and for the first time I'm dissapointed in lichess.
P.s. I can't imagine how much energy is required to run this site - those that concerned above should perhaps consider not wasting energy on this pointless hobby in order to save the world.
@Geert_Wilders

How much "energy is required" to share a single link? None whatsoever. What an odd thing to lie and pretend to be concerned about.

In any case, I sure am glad that I have the capacity to think about and do more than one thing in my life. Sounds tough going through life without that ability, that you have to pick one thing and devote all your waking time to it.
@Chuck_Fess I said you should chill, because instead of calmly addressing my points, you started howling about how I supposedly don't care about saving the world. Hence, chill. Start thinking a little, instead of bowing mindlessly to Saint Greta.
I'm entitled to not seeing anything about climate change on a neutral, ad-free chess website.
If anything, I feel threatened by the madness of crowds, on any subject.
I'm all for environmentalism but really I'd like one place to escape from all these 'left vs right, if you're not with me you're my enemy' morons once in a while.
