Why does Lichess chatban people?

There is no freedom of speech in any private forum ever and it's understood that the owner can shut down any speech for any or no reason. But on lichess.org how is it decided when a topic you started is closed and you can't comment further? I'm not talking about obvious things like threats, insults, spam, etc. but even mild criticism of any changes to the site? I'll offer my own theory in a separate comment and await responses since most people read no more than two sentences and this is sentence number four here.
The speech code here as I understand it (apart from obvious prohibitions on threats, insults, spam etc.) is; you may state one simple (not compound) point or question and await responses but may not engage in any substantial follow up or you're likely to see e.g. "read the comments ... we're done here [whereupon you cannot comment further]." So except in a forum for game analysis your permitted speech is extremely limited and basically you have "one small bite of the apple" per thread. Unfortunately if you think someone has unfairly or non responsively criticized your comment, well that's just tough and no one cares or so it seems. One final thought is that a lot of work goes into providing free platforms so expect owners/moderators to be testy about even mild criticism. That's human nature.
One nice feature of these forums (although it's incidental) is that you get a lot of practice solving mates in one. That's good because I've even seen 2000+ rated players miss mates in one, it does happen occasionally.

"You all don't get my point! As I wrote - I agreed that rules and punishments are ok!...The point is that punished people don't know for how long and maybe if forever - that's soft torture... -I repeat my self because people never answer on the main point but everything else... Best regards, Dimitri"

Dimitri I agree but alas expecting people to read much less address your precise point(s) seems to ask too much of most people. Unfortunately even in the work place almost no one reads emails or letters longer than two sentences long and when longer communications are needed the main point must be set forth in bold to be read or even noticed." We live in a world where people often talk over each other and anything over two sentences is considered "too long."
