Whine about time controls

As was stated before there is just 1 rapid control per 17 minutes 8 to 25. And 4 blitz controls per 5 minutes 3 to 8.

All that while there is significantly more difference between long rapid and short rapid than between longest and shortest blitz.

Difference not just in time but MOSTLY in game itself - calculation accuracy etc.

1. So why not extend blitz to at least full 8 minutes (preferably to 9). To include controls like 2+9 = 4+6 = 8min. Currently maximum time is 7.40

2. Rapid 10+5, 12+15 for instance

According to FIDE:
classical: time(minutes) + 60*increment(seconds) > 60
rapid: 10 < time(minutes) + 60*increment(seconds) < 60
blitz: time(minutes) + 60*increment(seconds) < 10

So according to FIDE
2+9 = rapid
