Why do I have to see "We are always storing your variations in the browser cache [etc]" when analysing a game? A very meaningless message that takes away important space and simply is disturbing. Why at all change the design from what it was earlier this year?
LiChess; NO CHANGES ARE NEEDED when the site already is perfect! Just keep upgrading Stockfish, but let everything else be as it was in January 2022. Forever! It is a modern era plaugue to nervously think that there has to be constant updates "otherwise users may lose interest". No, we are chess players, we will never lose the interest; unless you degrade the site from the best in history to mediocre.

You can click the the highlighted green button below the pane to close it, and that setting is remembered on your device. If you do a lot of private browsing, use many different computers, or clear your cache daily, the recurrence could be annoying.
The feature was added for use in correspondence analysis but is currently available for finished games as well. But it has not been received well.
yes. very small use-case.. or is it another new habit to form..
I am of that use case, and also learning to use it when i am not in correspondance spirit in my correspondance games.
For me it is half a feature, but better that it was before.. all the work done in correspondance lost each time one had to interupt a thinking session. see other threads on the topic. you are not the first to complain. But i get it, a new thread is louder. No need, there is no thread congratulating lichess on that new feature. maybe i should start one...

It was just an empty threat. i think in general the feedback about new features is mostly about annoyances and people having no problem or liking it won't take the energy to voice that.. I did not want to add to the noise.. it tires me too. I think lichess ought to get some praise too.
Some patience people with yourself and lichess... the new embed needs tuning that's all.
I'm pretty disappointed about the new automatic storage/syncing being removed honestly. but all the whiners making posts about it being the worst thing that's ever happened to them took all the attention
