Upside Down Chess as a variant?

Almost 4,000 players attended the first-ever Upside Down Chess tournament. I think it is a brilliant idea, therefore making it a variant seems logical to me. What are your thoughts about this? I know that White has HUGE advantage in Upside Down chess on the 1st move, but White has a 3.1 advantage in 3+, and people still love the game! (Sorry if this forum has been repeated, I couldn't find it, so I decided to post it)
Yes pls it so dumb. EVen so still better than antichess tho, so might as well.
hmmmmm
the only problem is, white has a +9.0 advantage. Isn't that a lot? And it would kinda make it unfair?
Yeah when I played with my team, we would win every time as white (mostly).
Completely winning for white... probably a forced win if a little theory is studied. Variants need to be somewhat balanced, and this simply isn't.
