Unjustified ban

Just had a message banning me for 2 days. I have just played a few games correctly and completed them all winning and losing and not let clock run down etc. So there was no reason for it. I have had bans before and never complained but this one was not justified. Can anyone please help or tell me who to contact. Thanks.
I'm going to guess it told you why you were banned, and that it did not in fact say "you are banned for 2 days for no reason".
So you have had bans before but this time it is not justified...

No further questions.
Hello all,

I am disappointed that the replies are all so negative rather than trying to help.

No, Gilbert, I had not just aborted a game. I had played a few to completion.

Sargon, I don't understand your point. Are you saying that someone who has been banned before for a good reason can be banned again for no reason? I had bans before, and I didn't complain about them, I didn't appeal against them, I respected the reasons they were imposed. However, on this occasion, there was no justification for the ban. I had just played a few games through to completion and a ban came out of the blue.

Yes, Doofenfshmirtz, it gave me the generic reason for banning (about creating a nice environment for playing, etc). The point is that the reason was not true in this case.

I contacted lichess and there was no reply. The ban is still in place 3 days later even though it was only a 2 day ban.

If anyone can help or advise, that would be appreciated. please.

Thanks all.

> No, Gilbert, I had not just aborted a game. I had played a few to completion.

No, literally your last game was one you aborted after your opponent made his first move. It has since been deleted - I assume lichess does not save 1-move games for long, and why should they. Anyway, here's my help and advice: Stop aborting games.
Playbans are automatic and duration increases with each new infraction, the threshold for receiving the ban is also lowered.
Since you have had a number of playbans before, that one aborted game resulted in a 2-day ban.
Don't abort games, don't stall on time, don't leave and there will not be any bans.
Here's my help and advice: read what the poster writes before replying, especially if you choose to be critical or dismissive.

No, I didn't abort any game. So I shouldn't have had any ban.

Moreover, my complaint was not about the length of the ban, but the fact that the 2 day ban lasted for 3 days. I've repeated this several times, but people seem to keep ignoring it and replying to strawman points I didn't make.

Finally, there's been no reply from lichess when I emailed them about any of these issues.
The bans are automatic, like I've already told you, and the system doesn't ban people randomly. You have to abort a game, stall on time, fail to play the first move or leave the game in order for this to happen. I personally saw an aborted game in your history at the time you started this thread. They are usually are not kept in the history, so it isn't there right now, but this is the reason for your playban.
