The root of all evil

...because there is no perfect world. So, no matter what you do there will always be some fools who will ruin your experience.

I am sure, even after disabling multi-game feature, some idiots will still be running their clocks. There is always an option to play a second game in the smartphone etc, for example.

I think, based on player stats and game behavior there should be some experience rating/level or something and while one issues a challenge one should be able to choose the expected exp. level for opponent.

Same goes for tournaments. I raised this in another post that criteria of minimum 20 games is pretty lame. It should be much higher.

I hope something constructive comes out of this discussion.

#8 Unless we're going to introduce an "announce mate" button (requiring the player to checkmate against every possible defense) I really don't see a way to satisfy everyone. I don't think we're introducing manner scores (like I hear WBaduk has?) which could also be abused.

I *could* suggest we increase the "minimum 20 games" to "minimum 2000000 games" since 2 million is much higher than twenty. But I think 20 is fine. Players who use the services unreasonably are violating the Terms of Service, and by now most players who play in tournaments are aware of automated temporary playban warning messages.

ALL of that said... I prefer 3+2 over 5+0 because my opponent can't sit for as long. I prefer 10+5 over 15+0, etc. (although to be really pedantic about it, hypothetically were there equivalent TCs for a 40-move game, I would prefer the one with the larger increment; I realize that 10+5 is ever so slightly faster than 15+0).

Kudos to Kontrachess for their innovative premise!
