Swiss tournaments are on Lichess

@thibault is there any reason why if someone is AFK they dont lose rating points? I have had 2 matches where people dont play and I gain no rating points.

Think that's normal @MarshawnLynch , if your opponent did not turn up OTB, you'd get a full point in the tournament, but you wouldn't get rating points, nor would your opponent lose any (at least, think that's how it works in my federation)

@alexholowczak I tried to get documentation to get a TRF into Swiss Manager, but I am struggling. I cannot see where I can import the file. Can you give me a starting point? I hope I can do this with my Swiss Manager... I will probably wait a bit for the TRF before I attempt too much with the PRN files.

@Malan77 In Swiss-Manager, if you go to File -> Import FIDE Data File Format, you'll then get a window that allows you to load your TRF file, which will be a .txt file saved somewhere on your machine.

Our club had the first set of Swiss tournaments (sections) today, and I gotta say, it is excellent. The quality of kids' games improved significantly, nobody is throwing away games, making quick draws or stalling. And thoughtful (slow) kids now suddenly have a chance again. Great work @thibault and team, I am even more impressed how quickly you made it happen!

At this point, the biggest "wish list" item is to allow multiple teams - essentially a Swiss team battle. This would allow hosting scholastic tournaments where teammates will not play one another.

@alexholowczak @thibault Thanks for the advice. I am hoping to run a tournament over the weekend. If I get enough response from members, I will try to get some of the other things in place as well. Looking forward to see how the PRN or TRF can get info out.
