sorting of studies

***** STUDIES *****, the essential and absolutely winning feature of lichess !!!!

As the amount of my studies grows, it is getting harder to find them.
As I can see, they are sorted by their last date of change, but since I constantly work on them, the order permanently changes.
A perfect soulution would be, if the user would be able to sort them in folders ("black agains e4", "black against d4" etc) another option would be to sort them alpabetically.

but, I think you should be able to select how it is sorted:

you can select: alphabetitcally , puzzles , openings
There was a user in another thread who had the same problem. I gave the following advice.

"There is an easier way.

Take word or another text processing programm.

Copy the links from all of your Lichess Studies to this text-document.

Order them alphabetically or how you like it.

Then maybe you have to create a pdf-file, if the links don't work in the text-document.
( I use Open Office and in this dokument the links didn't work. But in an pdf-file, the links work)

Then you can click on the links in this pdf-document."

You can also create a study with all the links. And then you can put a link to this "Link-study" into your profile.
where should this link-pdf be stored? awkward...
you already CAN sort your studies by

- hot
- date added
- date updated
- poplular

does anyone mind to add an "alpabetical" option here?
If the option of alphabetical order would exist, that were the best solution ofcourse .

But I think, that Lichess will take some time until they implement this option ?

Read again my advice. (There is nothing akward on this advice.)

1. Make a Study on Lichess with different chapters, named A, B,C ...
Then your link-list is part of Lichess

2. Make an external list (Word-File or pdf) with the links ?
This file is of course stored on your own computer and not on LiChess.
I hope you have a computer ? Doesn't work on an IPAD or Mobil phone.

P.S. I saw that you have made a study about tactical motifs.
Check out this one. lichess.org/study/YFkIOLoV
Just use a study to organize your studies. I did that some time ago, and it works well.

I didn't include my private studies there, but that's not such a problem for me. And if you keep your "organisation" study private, you can include your private studies too.
what a nice idea @fuxia, i didnt know you can add links in the comments.
How did you insert the bee-image? Riesling works out i must say...
nevertheless i wish to sort alphabetically, wouldnt it be nice?
The bee is just an emoji, a normal character: 🐝. Some browsers have a dedicated image for it that they show instead of plain text.

I don't really see the need for alphabetical sorting. I wouldn't find anything faster with that. Some kind of categories would be nice, however.

Nice to see that somebody has already done this Lichess-study with all the links to his own studies.
If somebody wishes to have an alphabetical order, then he simply must create 26 chapters in this study. A, B, C....
