I am unsure if it's my ping, or issue with lichess, but there are times when I've joined a puzzle racer and it locks the board when the race starts. The timer will start running but I cannot move any of the pieces. The board will usually stay in initial position when this happens, but 0 interaction can be done with any of the pieces.
If you try to use your skip it'll move to the next position, but you'll still be locked out of moving. I don't know if this is already known about, or how to recreate it, but it does happen every so often for me.
