the official solution is ok, but ...Qf6 also leads to a win for black if we play out
both sides with stockfish from then on. At least when I did. Point is, it forces both
material plus & simplification into a winning endgame. Not as much material
advantage as the official solution, but simpler & still looks like a sure win to me.

Getting to a pawn-up endgame is generally not the goal of a tactics puzzle - especially when there is a move that immediately wins a queen.

This qualifies (or arguably does) as a "cook" for this problem, but I guess you could get rid of the cook by adding some extra material (1 or 2 pawns or maybe a knight) to the white forces.
