Whoops, meant to say in that first sentence of the second paragraph 'parsed *by code' i.e. from the database.
Another puzzle http://en.lichess.org/training/34569: 1. .. Ra3+ is rejected, while the accepted solution is 1. .. Rb1+ 2. Kxb1 Ba2+ 3. Ka1 Nb3#. But, after 1. .. Ra3+ all the rest works verbatim! Why is that solution rejected? It is not about rating, it is about teaching exact reasoning ...
In http://en.lichess.org/training/57194 after 1. Ke3 Nd7 2. Qg8, black's best response is shown to be 2. .. Rb8, but 2. .. Kc7 is much better, with no easy win for white following. Stockfish plays the same.
