How is your lone king supposed to checkmate your opponent's army????

I do not quite understand the question, are you asking why the game is drawn?

It's a draw because White's clock expired and Black cannot checkmate.

It's a rule that the timeouted person will not lose if the opoponent doesn't have any instance of possible checkmate.
