@breakreign the majority of time spent on the site is looking at the boards and moving the pieces. So why wouldn't you want them to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible?
@Alihene2 very nice :)
Nice but is a little bit low resolution

I need an answer, so i understand how to continue my work :)
@thibault; ask me if you need bigger board, bigger resolution or different material and if i am on the right way :)
Now i understand perfectly how to create HD boards with my graphic program :)
Another question; how can i send my boards to the staff?

@ScaccoLento I did see lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/please-improve-board-themes?page=4#36
My opinion is that some of the dark squares have a lot of texture / are a bit distracting. But that's only my opinion, I don't make the call...
In general I use the 3D boards although they don't contrast well with the 3D pieces (either hiding the pieces or far too much contrast). But most players use the 2D boards.

Ok, i will try to increase the resolution and decrease the "texturing" using cleaner wood :)
@ScaccoLento Great! I assume but cannot confirm that using the same board resolutions at github.com/ornicar/lila/tree/master/public/images/board would suffice.
(I'll ask around what the board dimensions need to be.)
