People who leave the game

I feel that a lot of people leave game when they are in desperate position or they let the time run out . Just have one i waited 12 minutes !
The temporary ban is still in action ? I think it is not efficient at all !

Yeah! They should be strict with temporary banning. I also had to wait a long time. I'm sure that they don't waste their time. They do other useful stuff while they have left the game and waste our time without resigning. We must tell the moderators

@Zirpatek Yes,it is a common problem on Lichess.You can always report a user using lichess.org/report form.

No mod here; but I can tell you:
Not much.

This is only enforced if a user has a real problem doing this very, very frequently.

Otherwise, innocents would pay the price; as sometimes life happens and one has to simply quickly walk away from a game; or what not.

I recommend just starting a new game when this happens to you; ofc keep the other one open & just go to lobby in a new tab and start a new one. As long as its not currently your move you can start another game at the same time.

Your other game's tab will flash if or when the other player makes a move; and if you have notifications on a pop up will appear by your clock (bottom right by default)

Ugh, they'll just resign right before their time runs out.

They are automatically detected and given timeouts. The people you see in the forum and q&a section crying about having timeouts are some of the ones being punished.
