No king study

#11

Really?? How are you going to show all the legal moves freely when you're forced to capture in any position where a capture is available? 🤔
@pepellou This is not checkers!! In chess you are only forced to capture if your king is under attack (check) and capturing the attacking piece is the only way out.
It is the only way we can think of though. You could not have a board without kings and walk past a pawn that could b captured. You could show a pawnstructure in antichess without problems. Or
lone Nights for example. There is no other variant I know of where you can play without kings. So come up with something better! Or end of discussion.
Indeed... In that case, it would be a good improvement to have the "free board" as I mentioned before. Even the clocks could be manual. Good training for tournaments. I played once against a girl who moved, forgot to press the clock (and I didn't warn her), and after a few moments she tried to move again! I claimed victory by illegal move, as it was (officially) my turn.
