1 Several kinds of competitions
The possibility to join different sorts of competitions, like leagues, matches, and knockout competitions. Players can for example participate in an on-going football style league system (in addition to their normal games). Imagine divisions of anywhere from 10-20 players/teams, with promotion and degradation. This includes the possibility of team matches (with solutions for players who are in several teams), where the team leader has to choose the board order, where the team results are shown, and where the team player (who has played all of his/her games of the match) with the highest Percentage Score gets crowned Player of the Match of team "A". Team tournaments and leagues that teams can participate in would also be very interesting.
URL: http://cegawebsite.wix.com/worldchessleague (An example of a chess league)

2 Training games + extra options
The possibility for chess players to give chess lessons to other players. It would be nice if players could play casual games where one of the players is the trainer and the other (and spectators) is the trainee. Next to Causal and Rated there could be a Training button when creating a game. In Training games it should be possible to start with a FEN position (games can be created with the Board editor just like when you play with the machine). It would also be nice if the trainer could move forward and backward in the game (just like "Replay and analyse"). It would be great if the trainer could use database/analysis/annotation features, but that might be too complex, a Training button and FEN option would already be fantastic. These Training games are also interesting for lichess.org/tv.

3 Cheaters' Hell
Users that are caught cheating are put in Cheaters' Hell. They won't immediately know that they are caught so it will take them longer to start cheating again with a new account. Players that are in Cheaters' Hell see the same things on their screen as other players, but when they click on a game to join it or when they create a game themselves, they get a different cheater (or Stockfish if no other cheaters are available) as their opponent (the website doesn't mention this to them and the name of their opponent looks like a normal opponent to them, it doesn't mention Stockfish). After several fake games they get the same treatment cheaters get now. This will hopefully discourage cheaters. They don't actually join the real games, so other users aren't bothered by this.

3 Download games in PGN format
The possibility to download games in PGN format. The amount of games that can be downloaded per day might be limited by the Developer of lichess (because it's difficult for the website to handle), but it would still be great if we could download some of our own games (or other games) in PGN format. It would be even better if we can specifically choose which (kind of) games we want to download (with the same options as "Games - Advanced Search").

4 My Personal Best elo
Your profile also shows your personal best elo (PBelo), which is the highest rating you have ever had on lichess (except if you have used computer assistance).

5 Playing chess variants
It would be great if we could also play some chess variants against each other at lichess.org.
URL: http://www.chessvariants.org (Information about several chess variants)

6 Casual correspondence games
The possibility of longer time controls (without playing without a time control) so we can also play correspondence chess at lichess.org. The games that aren't completed yet (games in progress) could be shown on the profiles of players to the left of "Games Played". These games don't count for the normal lichess.org rating (a seperate correspondence rating could be used or only casual games could be allowed) because it is way too easy and common to cheat in correspondence chess. These correspondence games also don't have the feature that you can claim a win if your opponent leaves the game (because the games take longer than a day).

7 Sound options
There are several options which players can choose from to decide when they want lichess to let them hear sounds.
URL: http://imgur.com/70WVyb5 (Several possible sound options)

8 Recent announcements
An "Announcements" Tab on top of the screen (to the right of "TV") where the Developer of lichess mentions what has recently changed on the website and/or what players can help with (ideas, translations, et cetera).

9 Scheduled tournaments
The ability to create (or automatically created) tournaments that automatically start at a certain time (this is mentioned to the players and they can choose to get notified 5 minutes before the tournament starts). This might help to get more players to join and finish tournaments.

10 More accurate 50 moves rule
The way lichess uses the 50 moves rule isn't completely accurate.
URL: http://github.com/ornicar/scalachess/issues/3 (Explanation of the inaccuracy)

11 Hourglass time control option
Each player's clock starts with a specified time (e.g. 1 minute, 10 min, etc.). While Player 1 is deciding on their move, their clock time is decreasing and Player 2's clock time is increasing. Moving slowly gives your opponent extra time. The sum of both clocks will always remain the same. It works just like an hourglass.
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_control (Descriptions of several possible time control options)

12 Position volatility analysis
Analysis should include position volatility. We can define volatility roughly by some function of the number of moves which result in a similar (or better) positional evaluation. Volatility has an inverse relationship with the amount of good moves for the playing side. Sometimes white has a lot of fairly natural looking moves which result in no significant loss while black has to play very accurate moves (volatility is low for white and high for black). Some variations have a good evaluation but also high volatility.
URL: lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/analysis-should-include-position-volatility (Discussion on position volatility)

13 Percentage of draws
An addition to the profile page so it also displays two drawing percentages (one with white and one with black).

14 Most Played Openings
Your profile page shows which openings you've played most often (with white and black).
URL: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessplayer?pid=52948 (An example of a website where Most Played Openings are shown)

15 Computer analysis for FEN
The possibility to "Request a computer analysis" for games started from a FEN position.

16 Load next game after analysis
After analyzing one of my games (and watching the analysis by Stockfish), I want to be able to load my next (or previous) game by clicking a button. Analyzing several of your own games will then be much quicker.

17 More tie-breaking options
More tie-breaking options and stats should be displayed (in "Tournament"), especially Sonneborn-Berger and Tournament Performance Rating. These are interesting and the Sonneborn-Berger score is very fair.
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tie-breaking_in_Swiss_system_tournaments (Descriptions of several possible tie-breaking systems)

18 Different sizes of lichess
Different sizes of lichess to optimise the browser for various screen sizes and resolutions. There are three options: Regular is suited for 13" laptops @ 1440x900 (what lichess currently seems most suited for), Large is for 20+" desktop @ 1920x1080, and Small is for 11" portable devices @ 1366x768.
URL: http://imgur.com/jiFwpDK (Image of how you can choose the size)

19 Best wins / Worst defeats
Links to your ten best wins and ten worst defeats on your profile page (based on your rating and the rating of your opponent at that time).

20 Several ways to score
It would be nice to be able to choose between several options of how points are given to players in tournaments (for example: Score * Sonneborn-Berger * Tournament Performance Rating * Percentage Score [for example: 0.64] / 1000). It would also be nice if there were more Leaderboards which keep score of the tournament results (they have different requirements of when a tournament result counts for the Leaderboard and they have different ways of scoring). A way to change how players are paired against each other (and how quickly that is done), like the Swiss pairing system and/or Round Robin tournaments, would also be nice. All kinds of options that exist in chess pairing software can be added to lichess.

21 Simpler Board Editor design
A simpler Board Editor design which uses significantly less space, which makes it easier to catch cheaters, and which brings the menu items into direct view.
URL: lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/lichess-todo-popularity-bracket?page=2 (Several ways how the Board Editor design can be made simpler)

22 Take back on board editor
The ability to take back moves on the lichess board editor.

23 Captured pieces in analysis
Show small icons (of the pieces that have been captured) directly below "Flip board" and "Board editor", during "Replay and analyse".

23 Info when being challenged
The same information should be instantly visible when someone challenges you to a game as when a created game is mentioned in the List at lichess.org (Player, Rating, Time, Mode).

24 Play at a certain time
Instead of creating a game to play chess right now you can also create games where you start the game at a certain time. Opponents can join the game if they also want to play chess at that particular time and they can abort the game until a chosen amount of time before the game starts (to increase the amount of certainty you have that you will get to play a game at that time when you have seen that someone joined the game). These rules should all be very clear to avoid confusion.

25 Watch Player TV
The possibility to only watch games by a certain player at lichess.org/tv. If that player starts a new game, you automatically start watching that game. This is similar to watching the game that appears when you mouse over a player's name, but it has the luxury you get when you watch on the big lichess TV.

26 Simple delay time control
A time control option of Simple delay and/or Bronstein delay. This is similar to the Fischer delay that is already used on lichess, but if you move within the delay period, your remaining time doesn't increase (for example: in 1+5 you get 5 seconds extra per move, but if you only use 3 seconds, your time doesn't increase by 2 seconds).
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_control (Descriptions of several possible time control options)

27 Advanced Chess games
I would like it if I could also play games where I do use an engine and my opponent does as well. We must have both chosen to play an "Advanced Chess" game and we must play a Casual game (not Rated).
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Chess (Information about Advanced Chess)

28 Search for tournament games
The option to search for tournament games only or training games only at lichess.org/games/search (just like the "Analysis available" checkbox).

29 Timestamped chat
You can see who said what and at which time he/she said it, so you can estimate if it is beneficial to reply to someone in the chat.

30 TV channels
The possibility to choose between TV channels at lichess.org/tv (the same options as "Play - Filter games"). Several players have mentioned neat ways to improve the lichess TV (for example: http://i.imgur.com/ZSi90k0.jpg).
URL: http://i.imgur.com/ZSi90k0.jpg (TV channels, flip board, and links)

31 En-passant abilities in editor
Option to set en-passant abilities/inabilities in the board editor.

32 Disable move highlights
The possibility to disable move highlights (the color you see on the board because of the last move that was played).

More information about the brackets can be found at http://en.lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/lichess-todo-popularity-bracket
It looks like a pre-election promises
We hope that this will be introduced
Lichess has not guaranteed that any of these features will be implemented. With any feature, someone has to put work into creating it. Some of these feature requests are small and effective, and will probably be implemented. But others are a lot of work, and the pay-off may not remotely relate to the amount of work put in.

4, 7, 8, 9, 14 <= those are likely to be implemented at some stage in the near future as they require a limited amount of over-head work.

The rest would need more consideration, and assessment.
