Marathon wrap up

The Autumn 2015 Marathon was a blast! Thanks to all participants, I hope you had fun playing it. I can tell you it was incredibly exciting to watch!

2,802 players participated, playing a total of 51,804 games.
That's 36 games per minute in average!!

Congrats to the winners, which names you can find on http://en.lichess.org/tournament/autumn15.

The players who played the most games are:

@thellamalord 374 games!
http://en.lichess.org/@/chessi96 365 games!
http://en.lichess.org/@/jprodigyj 345 games!

A lot of you have played more than 300 games. It's incredible. I hope you're sleeping well now :)

See you for the Winter Marathon, on December 28th. The time control remains to be decided.
What do you think it should be? Vote on http://www.strawpoll.me/5826659!
congrats especially to thellamalord
it seems he played full 24 hours long without eating, sleeping or going to wc :D
Hi Thibault and team,

Congratulations on the great success on the marathon! it was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it a lot!!

Please allow me to suggest a minor change for the next time... replace the word "Withdraw" with "Take a break"... so people know that withdrawal is temporary.

I wish you great success for the next marathon.
Also congratulations on making the best chess playing site in the world by far!
Thanks for the event. It was great fun. I think a 3+2 with a berserk that removed the increment, or maybe a double berserk for no increment and 1:30 would neat.

One small recommendation, I was kind of surprised that clicking on the "Autumn Marathon" text in the tourney lobby didn't lead to a page with information on exactly what the rules are regarding streaks, doubling, points, and so on.
Congratulations to everybody especially Smurf, very beautiful games. I love to watched it.
One of these times, try to set a world record for the most games played every minute in a single event. :P
Playing the tournament was fun, fun and fun :-)

Thx for the good work and the good play!
This marathon had stronger opposition than the last one! Last time I latejoined and made it into the top 50... not so this time, I finished 104th!
I'm not sure 1+0 is the best option. If we want tournament for all players, tournament with slower time control (or at least with increment) would be better. For newbies 1+0 is too fast.
