Yesterday evening, at about 7:30, I started a game with a teammate. At about my fourth move, I moved the piece, but nothing appeared to happen, though my clock kept ticking. I tried repeatedly, and tried one or two other moves instead, but Lichess would not let me. The clock kept running. I could communicate with my opponent via Chat; he had no idea what was happening.
We agreed that I should resign and that we'd try again. As I did this, the move I had made, and my opponent's reply briefly appeared.
It looks as if Lichess had "got" my move, but didn't display it on my screen; this explains why it wouldn't let me move again, as Lichess on my PC "thought" it was his move. He must have seen my move, as he made a reply, but I saw neither my move nor his reply, though my clock kept running.
As far as I could tell, there had not been a break in my internet connection; as I have said, we were able to communicate via Chat.
I played several more games, without difficulty. My concern is that the same might happen during this evening's 4NCL match; I could contact the arbiter but am not sure what he could do.
