Lichess allows tablebase in correspondence?

I was surprised to know that table base is allowed in analysis during correspondence games, this kills any endgame with 7 pieces or less,

I understand allowing opening books, because it doesn't help that much if the players doesnt understand the middle game ideas it is pointless,

but the tablebase really solves all complex end games, bishop & knight, rook vs pawn, queen vs minor, etc..
Is this true? I always thought that I can use the Lichess opening TB in correspondence games (without evaluation of course, just the history statistics of played games on Lichess and by Masters) to play a decent opening, but during endgames the use of TB is taboo. Or am I wrong?
I think there's a rules page somewhere explaining the rules. Sorry I don't recall where it's at.
i think sambat is right, wouldnt make much sense to allow them.

you can use OPENING books online or offline, but no computer analysis.
tablebases are just written out pitch perfect computer analysis.

if you exclude 7/32 pieces that takes away so much of the game: you play opening explorer vs opening explorer, then a middlegame, then you look in the tablebase who won the middlegame... this would almost be like playing middlegame puzzles, except possibly more boring coz its all the same position and tedious coz you are forced to use books before and afterwards =)
Allowing tablebase during the game is really strange, once you reach 7 pieces endgames the game is over, one player can resign or draw, so there is really no endgame play.

using table bases in endgames is equivalent to using an engine in the endgame.

The faq is talking about openings only, not mentioning endgames, so maybe lichess staff/coders didn't notice that allowing opening would also allow tables base endgames as a side effect?
or what is the logic behind allowing table bases?

I hope it is not too much to ping @thibault , but just want to bring this to the staff attention,
so if possible to get a clear answer, or to get to know why is it like this?
Hello,

Tablebase are absolutely not allowed in correspondence and using them will result in a ban, only opening books are allowed, as stated here: lichess.org/faq#correspondence
during a correspondence game, lichess does allow access to the tablebase via the in-game analysis,
i just tested this in a correspondence game
@sheckley666
i started a game against the computer to check this out
i traded all of the pieces fast to get to a 7 pieces or less endgame
and found that tablebase are allowed
