I can not send a private message.

@SIowpok I understand that it's not completely what you want.. But if it's a group of friends who often play together, why not consider starting a private group / team and post tournament details and invites there? You could tag people with important information so that they would be notified immediately.
Up the top of your screen, click Community > Teams > New Team.

Then you can choose a team name (you could just call it tournament group, or whatever) and whether you'd like to confirm all incoming requests to join, or just let anyone join.

I've never gone further than that, but from there you can send a message to your friends to join. I'm unsure if you can send outgoing invites to join the team (you may be able to?), but even if you can't, contacting the others should get a bit easier from there and it will mean that you can use your own forum to announce tournaments and discuss other information privately whenever you need to in the future.
@FakeCrabMeat
We need only the right people to get the password from the closed tournament. We could not do this by creating a team. Maybe we just have not figured out how to do it.
I really want to be able to notify all the right people at once, but how? And so that strangers can not see it.
@SIowpok I'm pretty sure that no one who isn't a member of the team will stalk your team page looking for the password to the tournament. Still, you would think that there is a better way. Mods? Any thoughts?
@Jacob531
Now the team is not very functional. I'll explain why.
If the entrance to the team is free, then people will come who we do not want to see in their tournaments and they can not be kicked out of the team.
If the entrance to the team should be approved, then without the creator of the command, nothing can be done. If he can not fulfill his duties, everything collapses. We will have to create a new team, with the same problems in the future.

Besides this, there is no mechanism for excluding a person who has gone insane.

In addition, you need some kind of mass mailing tool for the team members and only for them. All this is somehow complicated.

Maybe when creating a tournament make it possible to send the desired message to "such and such a team"?
Create a tournament. We tick the "*****" command and write a message in the text box. It would be great. But we need a mechanism of exclusion from the team, without this in any way.
@SIowpok
1. You can kick people from a team for any reason at any time.

2. If you tag all members (like this: @Jacob531 ) in a team forum post they will all be notified.

3. It is still clunky, and I would recommend that you ask about this in the Q&A section so that you can get advice from a mod. lichess.org/qa

If all else fails, use a non-lichess platform (i.e. email of some sort) to do the job, if you get really desperate.
Feel free to ask it in the Q&A, although I don't know if that will help since not being able to send messages does sound like a bug.
Today I changed every message, but I still blocked sending private messages. How to be? What to do? I need to invite people to the tournament, and I have the opportunity to send private messages.
