how to get on tv?

for some people it says time on tv: 5 minutes but not me. sometimes people have a tv icon beside their name. so how do you get on tv?

That is the time your games are broadcasted on Lichess TV. As top rated players/games are broadcasted it is quite unlikely, that weaker players get "time on TV". My accumulated hours are from the past, when the player base was not so strong.
The tv icon besides the name in your friend list indicates only, that he/she is playing. Not related to Lichess TV.

grind out a lot of games against the AI and you'll get some tv minutes if you play in the off hours.

get good at a variant and you can get a lot of tv hours
