correspondence "time is almost up" message glitch

I get these messages for Corr. games, even though I still have 2 full days. Why?

It seems the reminder is relative the length of the time control.
So with many days per move it will be a bigger reminder window,
and with few days per move it will be a smaller reminder window.

I find it neat!

More than 24 hours before time is up does not make sense.
